How to choose the material of filter cloth

The material of the filter cloth should be selected according to the chemical and physical properties of the material.

 

Select the air permeability of the filter cloth according to the requirements of filtration accuracy. Although the filter cloth plays a very important role in the initial filtration precision of the filter press, the higher the initial filtration precision is, the better. It is necessary to consider whether the filtering precision can meet the requirements. After the filter press has been filtered for a period of time to form a filter layer, the retention effect of the filter cloth is very small, and the "filter layer" that plays the role of fine filtration, forming a good filter layer is the use of the key filter press technology.

 

 

The peeling properties of the filter cake. When choosing a filter cloth, special attention should be paid to the peeling properties of the filter cake. The surface of the filter cloth is smooth and flat, the filter cake is peeled off quickly, the operation time is short, and the efficiency is high. The filter cake adheres to the filter cloth and is not easy to peel off, which will prolong the running time of the filter press and reduce the work efficiency. Changing the filter cloth takes longer. It is more troublesome to replace the filter cloth in the commonly used box-type filter press. The cake unloading performance of monofilament filter cloth is better than that of long multifilament and short fiber filter cloth, and the cake unloading performance of satin filter cloth is better than that of plain filter cloth.

 

The regeneration performance of the filter cloth. When choosing a filter cloth, we should also pay attention to choosing a filter cloth with good regeneration performance. The filter cloth with good regeneration performance can be cleaned directly on the filter press to reduce the number of cloth changes. After the replaced filter cloth is simply treated (drying, washing, etc.), the filtration efficiency is restored to more than 80%.

 

Material filtration experiments. After the primary selection of the filter cloth, it is very important to carry out filtration experiments on the raw materials (without changing the material properties and process conditions). A small sample experiment was carried out on the material filtration. The filtration rate, retention effect, moisture content of filter cake, unloading performance and regeneration performance of filter cloth were investigated.
